2025 Kia Seltos Joliet IL
When it comes to the Kia lineup, the whole thing is actually quite young. While there are certainly some models that have been around for quite some time, the majority of vehicles produced by the brand have been introduced over the past several years. For example, the subcompact Kia Seltos crossover was just introduced for the 2021 model year here in North America. It’s an excellent option within its segment and this year the 2025 Kia Seltos will offer a bunch of new standard features alongside other updates throughout its trim level offerings. If you’re shopping for such a vehicle here in Joliet, Illinois, you should definitely give it some consideration.
What’s new for 2025?
Let’s start by diving into what’s new this year, which includes a nice chunk of new and adjusted features. For starters, Parking Distance Warning-Reverse, which is an advanced driver assistance system designed to provide aid when parking, is now standard on both the EX and SX trim levels in addition to those on which they were already standard, while the added convenience of the Smart Power Liftgate is now standard on EX AWD and SX trims.
While that covers some of the adjustments made, there are also some new features, as we mentioned. For example, a new powered driver-side window with both automatic up and down functions has been made standard on the S trim and up, as has an integrated 4.25” TFT cluster. A new power sunroof package has been added to the EX trim level, while new 17” two-tone alloy wheels are now standard on the S trim level.
Powertrain Options
This year the 2025 Kia Seltos is available in two different powertrain options. The standard option is a 2.0L MPL Atkinson four-cylinder engine that’s capable of generating up to 146 horsepower alongside 132 pound-feet of torque. Higher trim levels are available with a higher performing option, a 1.6L turbocharged GDI four-cylinder capable of producing up to 195 hp and 195 pound-feet of torque. Both are great options, but each offers something different to drivers.
